another long walk...

so the plan for today was to wake at 5 am, be at work by 6. finish work by 1230, get picked up by ashley and go for lunch.

BUT, i have learnt that plans are made to fail. so, i woke up late at 5.30, out of the house by 5.45am. if one thing good happened, i was on time for work. so began the stock take, it was going well, too well indeed to be true, such that at 10.30am, the pda's we were meant to be using died on us, ALL FOUR OF THEM, so we stoned for 45 mins, eating lunch and drinking coffee that was bought for us by our boss. it got boring, so i went to index and check the scripts that were collected over the last 3 days..

at 11.30, we resumed our stock taking spree, and i got stumped trying to count the individual bandages cause they were out of their packaging. there were 10 types of them, and some of them had like 100+ to be counted. so i took half an hour for that, and the rest was done quickly so i got off at 12.30.

called ashley, but cause she was moving house till late last night, she kinda overslept, so i had to make my way down to uni by myself.. workmate offered to fetch me halfway there, but it was pointless cause there was still a lot of work left to be done after stock take.

so i had a long walk along pearson street to the bus stop, walked by the lake hoping to see a snake or something, but there was nothing to be seen, apart from the usual ducks and swans. would have taken pictures if not for my dead'ed phone (curse you, thai sim card). my mind was all over the place again, about things no point mentioning, and also half wanting to see a tiger snake, half not wanting to get bitten by one if i do see one, day dreaming about the car, and then reminiscing the time i almost spun out at a round about when it was raining :S .

40 minutes later, i arrived at the bus stop jus in time for a ride to uni, met up with ash and her housemates for lunch, then to iga to grocery shop with them, after which met up with des and cheryl. had a nice chat all the way to 6 pm before i left home on the bus and stopped being the lightbulb.

surprisingly.. i am not tired at all... jus wondering how long this "high" will last, and if it will last me through work tomorrow. am looking forward to it though, cause now that stocktake is done.. its gonna be so much easier to get things done.
